St Michael's Summertown Baby and Toddler Group

This lively group meets on Tuesday mornings from 10.00-12.00 noon in St Michael's Church, to give parents, grandparents and carers and their children an opportunity for play, friendship and community.

Free, but suggested donation per family £1.50 per family per session to cover expenses.   Drinks for adults and biscuits for all are provided.

If you are new to Summertown, why not come along and meet your neighbours and their families? Do you simply need a break and want some company? Come and meet us at St Michael's!

Quiet play area, plus trikes and toddle trucks. Social time for both adults and children.

Parents/carers responsible for safety and behaviour of their children, overseen by volunteer team.

Refreshments provided, including caffeine-free and gluten-free.

Register of attenders taken each week for health and safety purposes; names and addresses kept securely according to data protection rules, mainly for sending birthday cards.

Please note: Currently closed due to COVID restrictions. Hoping for limited reopening autumn 2020.

Activities take place in the whole area of the body of the church (except sanctuaries),  and  there are toilets with nappy-changing facilities.

Warm clothing needed for colder winter weather, esp. north wind.

There are a few steps and a mixture of stone and wood floors.

Safety checks are made before the session.

Refreshments provided.  Lunch 1st Tuesday of the month

Volunteer helpers will welcome and assist. All are DBS checked and some have safeguarding and/or first aid qualifications.

All abilities welcome provided appropriate care is in place for any physical or developmental difficulties.

There is only limited parking in the area.

We are on all the Banbury Road bus routes including the Oxford Parkway  Park and Ride (500).

Bikeracks at the back of the church, and there is space for buggies etc. in the church.

We do not allow children's own scooters to be ridden in the church.
