What is the SAfE Parenting Approach?
SAfE Parenting is a Therapeutic Parenting Approach which stands for Secure Attachments founded on Empathy. It is a Therapeutic Parenting course devised by The Centre of Therapeutic Parenting Studies at Inspire Training Group, part of The Centre of Excellence in Child Trauma. SAfE Parenting is based on the PARENTS model of Therapeutic Parenting devised by Sarah Naish (2017) which supports parents in their ability to look at the root cause of their child’s behaviour and respond consciously rather than emotionally.
What is Therapeutic Parenting?
Therapeutic Parenting is a high nurture, high structured way of parenting, which combines neuroscience and attachment theory to provide an empathic approach allowing parents to connect with their child.
Who is SAfE Parenting for?
The SAfE parenting course is aimed at all parents and can be effective in parenting children with carrying needs. This includes children who have experienced pre-natal and post-natal factors which may have impacted on their development and children who have experienced Adverse Childhood Experiences.
What will be covered on the course?
The course covers the main principles of SAfE Parenting and aims to provide parents with underpinning knowledge of therapeutic parenting strategies.

What can I achieve by attending the course?
Not only will parents be able to learn and put into practice therapeutic parenting strategies which will help them to develop a trusting relationship with their child. They will also gain a certification of our CACHE Accredited Customised Qualification in SAfE Parenting which is benchmarked at level 2 standard of learning.
How long is the course?
Face to face training:
The course is approximately 20 hours, which can be delivered over 10 weeks, in 2-hour sessions. Alternatively, it can be deliver over 2-4 training days. (equivalent of 20 hours).
Online option is approximately 5 guided learning hours per unit, total of 20 hours of study.
How much does the course cost?
Face to face training:
£300* per learner (minimum of 6 learners)
Hire of venue and trainer’s mileage at additional cost.

Option A: One off payment of £400*
Option B: 4 x monthly instalments of £100*
*plus VAT at 20%
