Listening Books - a UK charity providing an audiobook lending service
Listening Books provide an audiobook lending service for anyone who finds that an illness, disability, specific learning difficulty, or mental health condition impacts on their ability to read or hold a book. There are over 10,000 titles available from bestselling authors such as Agatha Christie, David Walliams, Jeff Kinney, Lauren Child, Michael Morpurgo, Kit de Waal, Malorie Blackman, and many more.
Books can be:
- Downloaded to an app available for smartphones or tablets
- Streamed online through a desktop or laptop computer
Members can also access thousands of newspapers, magazines and comic books through Pressreader as part of membership.
Membership costs £20 per year, but free memberships are available to anyone who would find this cost difficult to cover.
