Tilsley Park Sports Centre
Tilsley Park is open to everyone. Donated by Mr Greening to Abingdon and the local community for sporting and recreational use, we encourage you to enjoy walks through its fields and woodland whenever you wish. In addition, Tilsley Park offers athletes and sports enthusiasts some wonderful sporting facilities, namely:
- Athletics: an eight-lane, floodlit, artificial surface running track with UK Athletics Category A rating. Field athletics including javelin, shot put, discus, hammer, steeplechase, pole vault and long jump facilities. Three hundred seat covered grandstand and umpires' box overlooking the finish line.
- Hockey: two full-size floodlit all-weather artificial pitches with spectator seating
- Football: three five-a-side floodlit 3G all-weather pitches
Tilsley Park also offers social facilities including changing rooms and free car and coach parking, together with a function room which is available for hire.
