Didcot Baby Monday is a community led peer-support group for parents with young babies. We hope that you are able to come and meet other parents, chat, share experiences and find support.   We also provide evidence-based information and support to help empower parents when dealing with the challenges of early parenthood.   We are partnered with Oxfordshire Breastfeeding Support to provide infant feeding support from a qualified lactation consultant. This is currently available at our in-person sessions by pre-booking an appointment via OBS at http://www.oxbreastfeedingsupport.org/index.php/services/inperson These appointments are limited but OBS are also continuing to provide excellent virtual support via 1:1 video call or at their Zoom group (fortnightly on Thursdays at 12:30). See www.oxbreastfeedingsupport.org for more info.   Our trained peer supporters are also always ready to lend a well-informed and empathetic ear to anything that is on your mind, from feeding (of any variety) to sleep, or adjusting to life with a new baby.   We have a comprehensive parenting book library and range of leaflets available.   Clean play-mats and toys for young babies are provided.   Please note we do not currently have a sling library operating.

FAQs What age range is the group aimed at? Newborn to pre-crawling babies. This is to keep the group as a low key, safe space for parents to bring very young babies. We are always happy for you to come back and visit if you need support on your breastfeeding journey beyond this period though.

Do I need to book? Booking is currently required as space is limited due to covid restrictions. See our Facebook page events for more info and a booking form each week.

Can I bring my other older children? If you need feeding advice it is fine to bring older siblings if necessary, however we are sorry we are not really set up to keep them entertained on a regular basis.

Can I bring my partner/mum/friend? It is absolutely fine to bring someone along for support, however please bear in mind that we need to limit the number of adults due to Covid restrictions so please let us know in advance.

Can I attend before my baby has been born? Yes, bumps are more than welcome.

Are refreshments provided? Tea/coffee in lidded cups and biscuits (decaffeinated and dairy free options available).
