Chipping Norton Parent Pals

Parent support group logo

Chipping Norton Parent Pals is a local support group for parents and carers of children that suffer from mental health, ASD, anxiety or depression.

We meet every last Tuesday of the month in the Town Hall in Chipping Norton from 7-9pm

We will have a speaker at each session talking about a range of issues around mental illness, eating disorders, self harm, coping with anxiety and so much more.

Have you previously been through mental health issues with your child? Please come along and chat to other parents to pass on your experiences, knowledge and ideas. Is your child anxious or depressed and you just need some guidance and a bit of support?  Your child doesn't need to have a diagnosis or be waiting for a referral... The group is there for everyone!

Plan for the sessions....

Arrive for 7pm, speaker will start at 7.15pm and talk for about 45 minutes (including time for questions).

8pm-9pm will be an informal time to get some refreshments and chat with other members of the group and the speaker if you wish.

There is absolutely no pressure for you to talk about the reasons you are at the group. The hall will be set up informally and we welcome you to bring friends with you if you would like to.

If you can’t make the talk at 7.15pm you are more than welcome to join the group at 8pm for the refreshments and to have a chat with others and take away any information that you think might be useful to you.

Ideally this is a group for parents and carers so we would suggest that children don’t come along with you. We hope everyone understands.

We are open to ideas and suggestions so please let us know if there is something you think we should be talking about. We aim to have a variety of speakers over the next 12 months and we understand that not everything will be relevant to all. We will try to cover as much as we can over the coming months.

Come along for a coffee and a chat, mental health needs to be talked about!
