Russian Ballet Classes for Children   We do not offer exams, but there will be opportunities where children will perform with Yuka Kodama Ballet Group' members in our annual shows.   In addition to classical ballet technique, students will learn coordination, body alignment, musicality, anatomy, stage acting and how to enhance flexibility. There will also be opportunities to learn classical repertoires for more advanced students.

At Jericho Community Centre, 33a Canal Street, OX2 6BQ   Classes start regularly from week commencing 30th October   Students of age 13 and over can join YKBG regular classes until there is enough demand to start separate classes.

Our dancing is very much in the classical tradition with a strong bias towards Russian technique, primarily the Bolshoi Ballet’s method. Many of Yuka’s teachers were former Tokyo Ballet Company members, and learned directly from Sulamith Messerer, who laid the foundations of that company. She was sister to the legendary dancer and teacher, Asaf Messerer, of the Bolshoi Ballet and aunt to the equally legendary Maya Plisetskaya, whom she trained.   Contact:  Yuka Kodama-Pomfret Email: yuka_kodamaa@yahoo.com Tel: 07957 482527   Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/YKBG-Junior-1998739840344248/   Website: https://sites.google.com/site/yukakodamaballetgroup/ykbg-jr
