I am committed to providing a fun, friendly and safe environment for the children in my care. I understand that each child is an individual in their own right and will treat them with the care & respect I would expect anyone looking after my own children to provide. I have been childminding for over 6 years now as well as bringing up my own 3 children.
I live in a semi-detached house with a lovely, secure garden. We’re very lucky to have access to lots of parks and wide, open green spaces locally. We have a wonderful nature reserve on the estate with a small woodland area plus a stream & use this area often during our day. I am very much a child led setting and we follow the child’s interests. I observe the children to find out what their interests are & I will then provide resources to extend their learning through play to enhance their learning opportunities. Understanding what works best for the child is of the upmost importance to me in all situations. I understand routine is one of the most important aspects of life & I will work closely with you and other professionals to ensure that I am giving the correct care for each of their specific needs.
I have a Level 3 Playworker qualification and I also complete a 12 hours Paediatric First Aid Course every 3 years & Advanced/Designated Lead Safeguarding training every 2 years. I have also completed the following training courses:
Level 2 Food Hygiene EYFS Teaching Diploma
