Oxfordshire School Inclusion Team (OXSIT)

OXSIT logo

The OXSIT are a team of  Inclusion Consultants working across the county in all schools.

The focus of the team is to support schools to improve provision and outcomes for learners vulnerable to underachievement in particular children and young people with SEN, disadvantaged pupils, EAL, those with social and emotional difficulties that may present with challenging behaviour.

Our focus is on school improvement and using research to inform practice to support the needs of learners. Members of OXSIT teach on masters level courses at Oxford Brookes University and have access to the latest research. The SEN Code of Practice (2014) and the revised OFSTED Inspection Framework puts emphasis on effective inclusion for pupils vulnerable to underachievement. Our team is excellently placed to support schools with this new and ever changing agenda.  You can find out more about this team and their work in schools at www.oxsit.org.uk
