The OXSIT are a team of Inclusion Consultants working across the county in all schools.
The focus of the team is to support schools to improve provsiion and outcomes for learners vulnerable to underachievemnent in particular children and yougn people with SEN, disadvantaged pupils, EAL, those with social and emotional difficulties that may present with challenging behaviour.
Our focus is on school improvement and using research to inform practice to support the needs of learners. Members of OXSIT teach on masters level courses at Oxford Brookes University and have access to the latest research. TheSEN Code of Practice (2014) and the revised OFSTED Inspection Framework puts emphasis on effective inclusion for pupils vulnerable to underachievement.
