                                                    RETAIN YOUR INDEPENDENCE

Live life to the full with our safe, friendly, and reliable companion and driving service.

We provide companion & driving services for the elderly, children, disabled and for anyone who is unable (or no longer wishes) to drive.

We help you regain your independence, enabling you to get out and about and enjoy everyday living. Our dedicated drivers - all of whom are (Enhanced) DBS certified, Dementia Friends and trained in First Aid and Moving & Handling, will meet you at your door, help you in and out of the car and also ensure you're safely in your destination or home before leaving.

We can assist with shopping trips and accompany you to any appointments you may have......even social outings. Special requirements are catered for including assistance with walkers and/or your luggage and our vehicles are fully wheelchair accessible.

For children (with or without disabilities), we also offer pre and post school pick-ups and drop-offs; during which time we will consitently communicate with the parent or carer.  Our brightly coloured 'daisy' vehicles are easily recongisable by children so they too can be confident they are getting into an approved vehicle.   Our pricing is very competitive – you’ll be surprised at our added value, compared to standard taxi services, and at how cost-effective our service is!

Other notes

We are based in Didcot but cover all of Oxfordshire and into Berkshire for more localised journeys.  However, our services are not limited and we can take clients anywhere in the UK. Visit distant family, days out, holiday destinations, relocations etc.

We also have almost 40 other partners across the UK who we can team up with.

As our driver's are selected for their disposition as well as their driving skills, and are trained to have an understanding of certain needs and behaviours of vulnerable people, we are a preferred choice for many people when it comes to looking for transport for conditions such as Dementia and Autism.  Our Companion Drivers are compassionate and tolerant to their needs.  As we will have already gained an understanding of these needs, we will also factor in more time when picking the client up, and do not charge by the meter.

Driving Miss Daisy Didcot is not exclusive to clients with special needs.  We also recognise other vulnerbilities in people with disabilities or what is usually considered special needs.  Parents who work beyond school hours and need assistance in getting their children to school and / or clubs and activities are also vulnerable; needing confidence and reassurance that their child/children will be safely picked up/dropped off and being kept informed along the way - we will do this.  Furthermore, the child will instanly recognise our vehicles and will too have the confidence to know they are in safe hands.

The opportunties are endless.
