Wallingford Community Fridge

Four million people in the UK are living in food poverty, and at the same time almost one third of all food is thrown away. Community fridges accept surplus food from local businesses or members of the public and make it freely available to all members of the community.

A successful Community Fridge will cut food waste, build stronger bonds within the community and provide people with nutritious, perishable food items.

The aim for our Community Fridge is to reduce food waste and to ...allow food to be shared across our area. Anybody can put food in and anybody can take food out.

The Fridge can be found at The Fountain Bookshop, 21b St Mary’s Street and will be open Tuesday – Friday 9.30 am – 4.30 pm and Saturday 9.30 am – 1.00 pm.

For further details please call in and ask to speak to our Community Fridge Coordinator, Tracey Lloyd-Jones
