We are a small welcoming preschool in the grounds of Longworth Primary School. We have our own outdoor free flow play area with climbing equipment and outdoor resources. We share the large outside playing field with the school that we use on a daily basis.
We have four highly qualified members of staff, all who are mothers to their own different sized families. We have a wealth of different backgrounds and knowledge that we bring to the learning at our preschool. Pam is Manager at Longworth Preschool and is SENCO (special educational needs coordinator) and PANCO (physical and nutritional coordinator), having lots of experience helping children with various special education needs and disabilites, to reach their full potential.
We have a musical movement 'Boogie Mites' session everyday at 1.30 for all the children to enjoy. This includes songs that help physical development and phonics teaching. It encourgaes social learning and expectations for the children to have and use their own ideas in a fun and engaging way.
We invite a variety of visitors into setting including age appropriate First Aid trainer, Dentist, Ballet teacher, Firefighters, chickens and pets from home - to name a few, that come and engage in role play approach learning with the children.

Our main transition school is Longworth Primary school due to the locality of the preschool - however, we have a very good working relationship with all primary schools in our area and organise transitions to meet the needs of individual childrens needs when moving on to a different school.Teacher visits from all new settings. Transitions books and photos are created to be used in setting. Starter visit days catered for.
Children with additional needs have comprehensive plans to enable them to reach their full potential. When outside proffesionals are needed to enhance this experience we invite and include them in setting and invlove them with the childrens plans.
