YOUTH CHALLENGE OXFORDSHIRE (YoCO) is a local charity supporting young people aged 13-21 to develop resilience and confidence so that they can overcome the problems that they face in their lives.

The young people follow an exciting 18 month programme which helps them to overcome challenges facing them today, such as pressures of social media, bullying and peer influence to take unnecessary risks. The programme designed and delivered by YoCO is run by youth group leaders at weekly meetings with a professional team at YoCO in support.

After 6 months, each youth group spends a residential weekend away together developing leadership and team working skills. This offers more opportunities for personal development and reflection. The young people may also volunteer for a life-changing trip overseas (in the past this has been to Nasio Trust charity in Western Kenya.)  If there are some who would prefer to support the group rather than travel to Kenya they will be also become a key part of the project.
