Experience shows that children who make most progress musically join in with musical activities and have fun making music with others. Music is a great way for a child to develop and to show their creative side. Oxfordshire County Music Service operates Saturday morning music centres in these towns around Oxfordshire. Please note that although there is usually a fee to attend one of these centres, children who are in their first year of learning an instrument may attend their local music centre free of charge until the end of the current academic year. Activities on offer include; Junior and senior orchestra Brass ensemble String ensemble Choir Concerts and play days Theory tuition to Grade 5 (11.30-12 noon) at an additional charge.
