Slade Nursery School and Day Nursery are working together to offer the best possible start for individual children. It is a friendly and exciting place for children to learn through play. We are happy to show you round and discuss your needs.

We Offer:

15 hrs place for 3 year olds in the morning (8:40am - 11:40am) or afternoon (12:20pm - 3:20pm) or condensed ( Monday, Tuesday 9am to 3pm and Wednesday morning 8.40 - 11.40 or Wednesday afternoon 12.20 - 3.20 and Thursday, Friday 9am to 3pm).
30 hour places (9:00am - 3:00pm). All funded places are term time only.
15 hour places for 2 year olds places in the morning (8:40am - 11:40am) or afternoon (12:20pm - 3:20pm) or condensed ( Monday, Tuesday 9am to 3pm and Wednesday morning 8.40 - 11.40 or Wednesday afternoon 12.20 - 3.20 and Thursday, Friday 9am to 3pm).term time only. The places are available for funded or fee paying 2 year olds.
Under two's year old places are fee paying only.
Additional wrap around and holiday fee paying places.
We will review and consider how we can become more flexible in reponse to the demands in the locality.

The Nursery School offers the following services:

Nursery School offers education for two to five year olds who are entitled to 15 hours funded place or 30 hours funded places.
Extended services is open to parents and carers in the local area for a stay and play session, a sensory baby group and Health visitors services provided for children from birth to 5 years old.

Slade Nursery School

The services we offer include:

  • a Day Nursery for children six months to seven years old,
  • a Nursery School for two to five year olds who are entitled to a  funded place
  • and extended services offer access to health visitors, stay and play, sensory play with baby and a local child minders group.
    Both the nurseries have a shared garden space and a separate outdoor area for one group. We have children and families at the heart of our work here. Our mission is to meet the needs of children who attend the Slade Nursery School and Day Nursery.
    Our website will provide you with information about our aims and values. It explains how we work and how the children will learn during their time with us.

Slade Nursery School offers a very nurturing experience for children and families who attend. Parents have a choice of learning environments they would like for their children: 

  • A small group (25 maximum) who learn and play in room for two to three year olds with its own garden and easy access to a sensory room. 
  • An large intergrated nursery room with children from the day nursery (38 maximum). This room has access to small quiet rooms for learning and playing, a sleep room and the large outdoor space which has been designed for children to explore the natural world, as well as extend their imagination and provide for the physical needs. This room is ideal for children who have siblings who attend day nursery. 
  • A room for three year olds (26 maximum)which has access to the large outdoor space. 

Slade Nursery School has a dedicated team of experienced staff who will support the children with their learning and development. The staff work hard to make sure that the children have wonderful experiences which will help their congative development.
