SAMMYS introduces singing and basic music theory to children aged 0 – 7 in an informal and lively setting. The aim of the group is to inspire a love of music and confidence in music in everyone who takes part . Each session involves singing a selection of songs and playing a variety of percussion instruments before dividing into smaller groups to work at theory. We end with coffee and cake for everyone! SAMMYS is very much a family affair so parents stay and participate which is hugely beneficial to the ethos of the group as a whole. It is wonderful to see families singing together and hearing that many of the songs have been sung throughout the week, too. At the end of each school term SAMMYS performs an informal concert as a celebration of each term’s work. Do come!

SAMMYS is held Saturdays at 10am during term time, in the Lady Chapel at St. Margarets.

Due to COVID-19, we have moved SAMMYS online. You can find a whole host of songs that we sing every week on our YouTube channel.
