Hunsdon House Garden School

Early Years Logo

Hunsdon House is a well-established nursery school in the heart of Headington. The school was founded in the 1920s and we are fortunate to have a beautiful garden, which is used for outdoor play as much as possible.

The qualified and experienced staff at Hunsdon House would like to support and nurture your child's growth during their early years development. We provide a carefully prepared environment with a fine selection of European educational materials that teach and inspire. English, German, French and Italian are fluently spoken and we teach the children songs and activity rhymes in these languages.

Our educational approach is based on the findings and philosophy of Friedrich Froebel, the famous German educationist who founded the Kindergarten system.

Please note, from Easter 2019 our opening hours are from 8:45am until 11:45am from Monday to Friday, with afternoon sessions from 11:45am to 2:45pm from Mondays to Fridays.

Costs vary. Please contact provider for full details, nursery funded places available and childcare vouchers accepted.
