We are under new Management

Puddleduck Nursery in Wallingford cares for children aged 3 months to 5 years. The nursery is currently recruiting for Qualified Early Years Practitioners of any level to join our fun and friendly team.

You must be passionate and motivated to make a real difference to the children in your care and to the team you are leading. You must be able to effectively organise the daily routine of the room, engage the children in an array of exciting, educational and creative activities, have sound knowledge of the EYFS which is implemented through your planning, build strong and trusted relationships with not only the children but their families and enjoy working as part of a fun, driven and committed team.

The role includes:

  • Being involved in developing and delivering a high quality, stimulating, creative and welcoming environment for the children within the nursery.
  • Working with the EYFS and completing online journeys for your key children.
  • Effectively organise the daily routine of the room.
  • To work as part of team in order to provide an enabling environment in which all individual children can play, learn and develop.
  • Building good working relationships with staff and parents.
  • To provide a range of activities relevant to the age and needs of the children in the setting, which encourage independence, self motivation and eagerness to learn.
  • Attending regular supervision and training as agreed with the nursery manager/Owner and have a willingness to continue your own professional development.
  • Maintaining confidentiality at all times.

Suitable candidates must:

  • Hold a Level 3 in Childcare/equivalent.
  • Have a good understanding of EYFS regulations
  • Be able to demonstrate good communication skills
  • Have a positive attitude
  • Be creative and ambitious
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Have the ability to work as part of a team.
  • Demonstrate good leadership skills.

Puddleduck Nursery offers a competitive salary including 28 days holiday. Free uniform including T shirts, sweatshirts and fleeces, pension, social events and training opportunities available.

Salary: £18,000.00 to £25,000.00 /year
