Abingdon Vale Netball Club
Abingdon Centre Netball Club (ACNC) was formed in 1982 with just two teams, over 30 years later and we have gone from strength to strength.
We currently field 5 teams throughout the divisions in the Oxfordshire Netball League and have a team that plays in the South Region League.
As well as the senior club we also support a junior division called Abingdon Vale Netball Club (AVNC) which provides training and matches for 10-16 year olds.
As a club we actively support our members to broaden their netball skills by becoming qualified coaches and umpires. We have a number of members working towards both of these qualifications at present. We feel it is important to support members in developing these skills as without both coaches and umpires our club, and indeed the league, would not be able to run.
The most recent addition to the ACNC family is the pay-as-you-play ‘Back To Netball’ group which provides a relaxed, social, non-competitive atmosphere in which to brush up or learn netball skills without the pressure of regular commitment in a competitive environment.
But it’s not all about netball! We also arrange social and fundraising events throughout the season such as barbecues, cake sales, raffles and quiz nights.
If you think this sounds like the netball club you have been looking for then we would love to hear from you, please contact us at abingdoncentre@live.co.uk.
