What is TRAIN?

TRAIN offers Detached work in Didcot, supporting those aged 11-18 in the Oxfordshire town. It offers alternative trips every 6 weeks on a friday night often Ice skating, go karting and pampering evenings for girls. It also runs a weekly football project for 11-14yr olds 6-7pm at Didcot Leisure centre. It also holds an annual residential.

Residential

Every year the young people that TRAIN works with gets the opportunity to go on a residential weekend. But in order to go on this residential experience they have to get involved in their community and complete 3-4 hours of social action.

This can be anything from litter picking, clearing overgrown bramble from alleyways for people to walk safely down to actually helping clear an overgrown garden of someone unable to do their gardening.

This year in September the young people who took part did some amazing work, (see the photo's for evidence!) but they also learned, like every year that giving something back to the community in which they live feels really good.

Girls Activities
