Rockwell House Day Nursery

Our Location

Situated in the centre of Wantage, Rockwell House is a grade 2 listed Georgian house dating from around 1730. Formerly St Andrew’s Preparatory School, the premises were purchased by Bramleys Nurseries in 2010 and now houses Rockwell House Day Nursery.

Following extensive refurbishment, the building now offers state of the art nursery facilities and equipment in a traditional and homely environment with a large secure outdoor play area, all within easy walking distance from the town Market Place.

We Provide

Registered day care for children between the ages of 3 months to 5 years. We are open between 7.30am and 6.30pm, Monday to Friday, 51 weeks a year, excluding bank holidays. Lunch, high tea, plus all snacks and drinks are provided. We offer a daily vegetarian option and will cater for special dietary needs. Baby formula and all first weaning foods are provided; breast-feeding mothers are also welcomed. Nappies are provided fee of charge by the nursery.

There is a discreet CCTV system which aims to provide a safer and more secure environment for the benefit of employees, students, children and parents/visitors to the nursery.

Management

Lauren Rickwood has management responsibility for Rockwell House Day Nursery and Nursery School.  Lauren joined Bramleys in 2011 and is qualified with a Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education.  She has had supervisory experience in our two local nurseries, specialising in both babies and toddlers,  rising to Deputy Manager at Rockwell House, before taking over as Manager in December 2015.  Lauren and her Deputy, Hannah Ottaway, are supported by Bramleys’ Quality Assurance and Training Management Team.
