CAP (Christians Against Poverty) is an award-winning charity that offers free, face-to-face debt counselling to all, irrespective of income, gender, age, religion or ethnicity. Our personal and long-term approach empowers people to get out of debt and learn budgeting skills with great success. Almost 90% of our clients pay all their debts and bills on time each month, with the same number saying that our help was life-transforming or a great help. CAP's debt service examines an individual's / couple's / family's financial position and identifies the most appropriate way(s) to resolve problem debt. On-going support is provided until the client is debt-free.

Due to face-to face restrictions as a result of the current COVID-19 situation, Christians Against Poverty are setting up a temporary appointment process whereby local support is mostly undertaken by telephone. Where a client's circumstances prevent them from being able to access our service by telephone or internet, we are able to offer limited, Covid-safe, face-to-face appointments within one of our local church premises. Our routine home-based service will recommence when it is deemed safe and within government guidance to do so.
