St John Ambulance is the nation’s leading first aid charity. Each year we teach first aid to thousands of people in Oxfordshire enabling them to be the difference between a life lost and a life saved. Our range of courses are suitable for workplaces, schools and community groups and individuals who want to know what to do in a first aid emergency and can be tailored to suit individual needs. Courses run at our sites in Kidlington, Banbury and Wantage or we can come to a venue of your own choice such as your place of work or your school. Our dedicated schools team teaches first aid to pupils across the county proving that no on is too young to save a life.

Our first aid volunteers dedicate many hours to the charity attending local events such as the Blenheim Triathlon and football matches at the Kassam stadium and we’re always looking for new people to join us. No previous first aid experience is needed as we’ll teach you everything you need to know.

Our youth groups Badgers (5-10 year olds) and Cadets (10-17 year olds) met weekly to learn a range of life skills including first aid, communications and teamwork. Learning is through activities, games and most importantly fun, and our young people are encouraged to further their development by getting involved in the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme or attending local events as first aiders alongside our adult volunteers. We have Badger and Cadet groups across Oxfordshire so please call us on 0121 392 6500 or visit our website to find your nearest group.
