Vale & Downland Museum are delighted to be able to invite families to join us for our exciting summer discovery sessions.

Our summer sessions have been carefully designed to be fun and engaging, whilst also developing children's skills and knowledge as young historians.

Step into the Story
From fossil hunting with Mary Anning to taming some unruly Vikings, you are sure to be entertained at our summer story sessions! Join us throughout the holidays to share stories and picture books which celebrate our brilliant collection. With a new story and craft activity each week, we have plenty to keep your little ones busy!

Every Monday & Wednesday 10:00am to 10.45am
Due to social distancing measure we are limited to family groups of a maximum of 4 people, this must include at lease one adult.

£5 per child. Adults are free but must book a ticket.
For children aged 3 to 7 years (age ranges are advisory).

These sessions are held outside so please dress accordingly. If it is raining this session will be held indoors.

Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

There is no parking at the museum, please use the public carparks located at The Beacon, Portway (OX12 9BU), alternatively Limborough Road (OX12 9AJ) and Mill Street (OX12 9AJ).
