One to one tutoring in maths and English

I run a small tutoring business specialising in supporting children who struggle in the school environment. I have particularly experience in supporting children with autism and ADHD.

I am a primary school teacher with over 20 years experience working in schools across London and in Oxfordshire. I have worked both as a class teacher, manager and deputy head (NPQH) as well as a teaching consultant. I believe in a child centred approach to learning and work from where the child is using methods that suit their learning style. I believe children should exercise choice in their learning and so present concepts in different ways so they feel in control and able to engage. In this ways anxiety is reduced and as children begin to develop confidence in their own abilities they find it easier to engage in school.
