The ASPiration Service is a support service for Over 18s with Asperger Syndrome and High Functioning Autism living in Oxfordshire. The service is delivered by Autism at Kingwood and offers practical short-term support.
There are 3 main strands to the service:-
Advice, information and guidance on a range of issues.
We can help you access other organisations and services. We hold drop-in sessions on a Monday from 2pm-4pm and on every 1st and 3rd Thursday of the month from 5.00pm-7.00pm.
Support
Specifically tailored to your needs. One-to-one support sessions to help you take steps towards achieving your goal. Practical Support on a range of topics such as housing, benefits, education and courses, employment, relationships etc.
Peer groups
Run by the service, and includes social groups and some support workshops on various topics.
Aspiration Eligibility Criteria
All of the following criteria must be met to be eligible for referral:
- Have a diagnosis of Asperger Syndrome or High Functioning Autism
- Over 16 years old
- Living in Oxfordshire
- Not entitled to or receiving any other support services. Non-FACS (Fair Access to Care Services) Eligible.
