A little bit about us

We pride ourselves on our Neurodiverse team which is made up of autistic individuals and expert family members (We call these Peer Support Practitioners) and people that have developed in-depth knowledge and expertise in autism through work and academia including Occupational Therapists, Nurses and Peer support Practitioners.

By employing Peer Support Practitioners, we are able to provide a unique perspective of what life is like as an autistic individual by using their lived experience specialism.

As an independent service our funding comes from various places;

- Self funding

- Through partnerships with the NHS around specific pieces

- Insurance providers

- Through EHCP's

- For charitable funds

What we offer:

Assessments:

We offer diagnostic assessments for Autism, ADHD and Dyspraxia (Also known as Developmental Coordination Disorder). All our assessments are NICE compliant.

Therapies and Ongoing Support:

Peer Support Practitioners

Our Peer support practitioners are other parents or autistic people that can support, advise, and guide from their own experiences.

This can help provide an unique understanding in how to approach things, and also give some top tips in how to navigate the health and social care system from their own experience. Some of our peer support practitioners are also trained in delivering Lego Therapy and life coaching as well.

Nursing

We have some of the very best nurses working with us. Kimberley herself is nurse by background who has developed her specialism in autism, with a focus on diagnostic overshadowing (when professionals might give a different diagnosis or miss something), mental health and emotional regulation.

A nurse can complete a holistic assessment of you needs, to provide a plan on how to meet those needs. This can be useful if you don’t know where to start or what is available to help.

We also have some nursing staff that are also trained in Health and Life coaching.

Occupational Therapy

We are lucky to have some brilliant occupational therapist working with us. We have occupation therapist with experience in children and adult services supporting autistic people with or without a learning disability.

They can provide input around your sensory needs, but also complete functional assessments to better understand how you find completing everyday tasks.

Speech Language Therapy

Speech and language therapy is crucial to meeting autistic people needs. We can offer a flexible approach to your speech and language needs to ensure we tailor our approach to you. Our Speech and Language Therapist work in a neuroaffirmning and child led manner, supporting the development of all types of communication.

Speech and language therapy can help with social anxiety, communication skills and developing your social interaction skills.

SEN Consultancy Support

· We provide advice and support in the following areas:

· Applying for an Education, Health and Care (EHC) Needs Assessment

· Checking the quality of your draft EHC Plan, following EHC needs assessment or annual review.

· Helping you to look for the right educational placement.

· Helping to advocate for you in meetings with your school, college, local authority and other professionals.

· Helping you to understand what support you and your child are entitled to in relation to education.

Training

We believe it is important that everyone can access good quality training around autism. What better way to better understand autism, than from autistic people and people that support autistic people collectively?

Our training packages can be tailored to your needs, but we also run training events on autism itself, and other areas that commonly impact an autistic person and the families lives. We deliver our training in majority of forums, to provide flexibility.

Our training packages have been informed by the autism and learning disability capabilities framework developed by Health Education England and our autistic colleagues and their support networks.

Conferences and Public speaking

We run our very own conference on an annual basis, attracting delegate from around the world. Our conference represents our approach with a blend of neurodiverse speakers and clinicians working within the autism field. Our conferences also offer a range of stalls for autistic people and organisations to showcase their work to delegates and our available to answer any questions delegate may have.
