Explore Learning - Maths & English Tuition

Explore Learning

Inspiring maths & English tuition for 4-16 year olds of all abilities based at Heyford Hill, Oxford

Explore Learning has tuition centres across the UK. Children become members and attend once or twice a week for sessions lasting approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes.

At Explore, every child has their own programme of work which adapts to their own unique strengths and weaknesses. This ensures that children are stretched and challenged in exactly the right areas - whether they are finding school tricky or top of the class.

Explore tutors work with children in a maximum ratio of 1:6, ensuring the right balance between individual support and independent learning. As children practise and acquire new skills, our tutors are always on hand to encourage, explain or teach a new concept.

Maths & English Tuition in Oxford
•Maths and English tuition tailored to your child's individual needs.
•Expert Eleven Plus tuition from inspiring 11+ tutors.
•Courses aligned to the National Curriculum.
•A vibrant environment that children enjoy.

At Explore Learning, our tutors will get to know your child as an individual. Whether they are finding school tricky or top of the class, we will create a learning plan designed to help them to gain confidence, enthusiasm and new skills.

The process of getting to know your child starts from the very first time we meet you at your free trial session. This is an opportunity for us to discuss your child's requirements in depth, and for you to see the tuition centre in action.

To book a free trial session at our Oxford centre, please call 01865 595 509 or complete a free trial form and a tutor will call you back.

We support members with both a diagnosed or suspected Special Educational Need. If your child has an Education Health and Care Plan (or a Statement which will be moved to an EHCP) we will adapt their activities to work towards specific goals. You may be waiting for a diagnosis and looking for ways to help your child – at Explore Learning we can support you during this time.

Amongst many other areas, we have strategies to help support children with:

  • Concentration
  • Academic progress and retention
  • Social interactions and confidence
  • Audio and visual processing
  • Balance, co-ordination and motor skills
  • Phonological processing and spelling
  • Organisation and sequencing
  • Attitude towards learning

Although we have the experience of working with thousands of different children, we know when it comes to your child’s learning differences, you’re the expert. We’ll listen to you about how your child works best, what their specific needs are and how their learning needs affect them individually.

We’re also on hand to offer ideas, support and advice to help your child reach their full potential. We know that different things work for different children, it’s all about finding the right way to spark your child’s interest and engage them in their learning.

We’re always here to listen so if you need a friendly sounding board or some advice on where to go for help, then come and talk to us.

Call your nearest centre to ask any questions and discuss your child’s individual needs with our expert team. We offer free trial sessions so you and your child can experience the centre in action and feel confident that Explore Learning is the right environment for them.
