Early Years Team (Oxfordshire County Council)

The Early Years Team provides information, advice and training to Early Years practitioners and providers to improve the quality of provision. We do this by supporting them to:

• meet the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage Statutory Framework.
• meet the needs of vulnerable learners.
• provide effective and robust safeguarding and child protection procedures.

The team works with early years settings including childminders, early years staff who work in schools, out of school clubs and holiday provision, multi-agency professionals and local authority colleagues.

Research indicates that good quality early years care and education gives young children a better chance of success later in life.
