Guideposts - Evening Activities Oxfordshire (OX18)

Guideposts logo

OX18 Youth Club is based at our Guideposts Day Centre (GLADS) in Witney, on the Two Rivers Estate (opposite Sainsbury’s). We offer a range of social and leisure activities that vary weekly, and are decided upon by our members.

Who is the service for?
We support anyone aged 18-25, diagnosed with a learning difficulty, to engage in social and leisure activities. As a social group, staff are unable to provide personal care, or support those with higher needs, but we aim to be an inclusive group, so carers are very welcome to attend.

Our members are fully involved in shaping our programme of exciting activities, with frequent forums for discussing needs, wants and differences, to ensure each individual member feels involved, valued, and respected.

What sort of things do we do?
Some examples of activities enjoyed by current OX18 members include;

* Themed evenings such as make-your-own-pizza and mocktail making

* Visits to local pub

* Golf (driving range)

* Pool tournaments

* Seasonal activities (fancy dress)

* WII sport and fitness

* Playing board games
