Rachael from Halls' Happy Home Childminding

My husband and I run Halls' Happy Home Childminding from our family home in Wallingford. Between us and our assistant we have many years’ experience in the Early Years Sector and are all qualified practitioners. We offer a home from home setting run by three very experienced child carers and parents. We all have a passion for working with young children and are luckily to be able share this with not only each other but all the families that walk through our door. We pride ourselves in providing a homely/family feel to our setting whilst still maintaining high quality care and education for the children in our home. 

We live in our lovely Bungalow that provides open and free flowing play spaces. We have a large lounge area that opens out on to the garden. Our garden provides lots of opportunity to explore, including our wild meadow hill with tunnel and vegetable beds. We have a large patio space as well as a mud kitchen and play house.  Our kitchen-diner provides lots of space for family style meal times and opportunities to join in with cooking and get messy being crafty. We also have separate areas for children to play and do activities in small groups. For those children that need a quite dark space to sleep we have a dedicated bedroom for naps, kitted out with blackout curtains, lullabies/white noise, individually allocated pop up cots and a video baby monitor.
