Sibford School Early Years

Sibford School Early Years provides Nursery and Reception classes for three to five year olds and is situated in its own distinctive area of Sibford School's 50-acre campus in the beautiful Oxfordshire countryside. It offers an extensive, innovative and diverse education where pupils are encouraged to 'live adventurously'.

Early Years pupils therefore have unrivalled facilities including a heated indoor swimming pool, forest school, outdoor play area and climbing wall.

Nursery Class

To enter Nursery, children must have reached the age of three by 31st August prior to the start of the academic year in which they will become four. Children can undertake taster sessions during the preceding summer term but, if they have not yet turned three, a parent/carer would need to accompany your child at these sessions.

Children starting in September at the age of three will initially be offered morning or afternoon sessions, but they can increase their hours as the year goes on.

Please note, it is expected that all Nursery children are able to use the toilet independently before joining the school.

Reception Class

Children move from Nursery to Reception in the September following their fourth birthday.

Entry Process

The entry process for Early Years and Foundation Studies is flexible and can be built around the needs of your family. Children applying for a place at Sibford School are invited to attend taster sessions to give them a sense that they will be happy, challenged and supported at the school and to ensure that we are able to meet their needs.
