Hailey Church of England Primary School Nursery Class

Hailey Primary School

Hailey C of E Primary School is a small, friendly Church of England school with just over one hundred children which provides a perfect setting for children to enter more formal schooling. Our nursery and reception children have the chance to learn through structured play, with individual assessment of learning needs. All our 3, 4 and 5 year olds are taught by an experienced, qualified teacher supported by experienced keyworkers. Activities are developed according to the child’s stage of development, and not simply their age, and children benefit from a wide range of school resources including extensive playing fields and even our own school woodland! We have created a family atmosphere, which is upheld by a dedicated staff team who put the interests of the individual child at the centre of everything they do.

Funded morning sessions are available Monday to Thursday until 12.00 and lunchclub is available from 12-12.30pm for a small fee. Fully funded morning and afternoon sessions are available for those parents entitled to 30 hours funding, with self-funded afternoon places available for other parents.

In addition, Earlybirds club runs from 8.00 until school starts, and afterschool clubs run until 5.15 so we are able to offer extended care for busy parents. Do call to discuss your needs. Prospective parents and children are warmly invited to visit us.

The high quality of provision was recognised in our Ofsted Inspection in October 2019 which judged the school to be Good and in our 2016 SIAMS Church of England Inspection which judged our school to be Outstanding.

‘Together everyone achieves more’, is evident throughout the school. Pupils told inspectors that ‘Everyone is kind and friendly.’ Ofsted Inspection Report, October 2019.

"Hailey C of E Primary School is a small school with a big heart."

"Love, tolerance and respect are at the heart of this school resulting in happy, successful children with a strong sense of self worth." SIAMS, April 2016.
