Oxford University Press Museum
The OUP museum has recently undergone a complete refurbishment, incorporating new cases, panels, and activity stations. Anyone wishing to visit the museum must book a timeslot in advance. Visits are limited to a maximum of 15-20 visitors. All visits are accompanied by a member of Archive staff. Please see our contact page for further information on how to book a visit.
The museum includes displays on OUP buildings, the 17th century Fell types, the Oxford Almanacks, and Alice in Wonderland and the Oxford English Dictionary, as well as printing equipment, a 19th century printing press and access to OUP's latest publications online.
The museum is situated at Oxford University Press in Great Clarendon Street, Oxford. It is open from 10.00am-4.00pm Monday-Friday, but is closed on English Bank Holidays and for the period between Christmas Eve and New Year's Day. Admission to the museum is free. Access for wheelchair users is provided.
